Pointed Outlines Of A Few Feature Films

By John Williams

Some film reviews are listed below. You can find a lot of information on movie downloads sites if you do a good search. You can try to search a term like "Best Movie Download Site", if you want some more, use "Top DVD Rentals" and "Download Films Online".

The Red Violin: This multi-episode film follows the destiny of a hexed violin from 17th-century Italy to 18th century Vienna, 19th century England, 20th-century China and present day Montreal. The tales are mainly downbeat and or aggravating, and the finish up part with appraiser Jackson is difficult to swallow. Colorful locales and enthralling premises sustain limited interest all the way through. Cast includes Carlo Cecchi, Irene Grazioli, Jean-Luc Bideau, Jason Flemyng, Greta Scacchi, Sylvia Chang, Samuel L. Jackson, Colm Feore, Monique Mercure, Don McKellar, and Sandra Oh. (131 minutes, 1998)

The Eiger Sanction: Pseudo James Bond misfire, often accidentally ludicrous. Exhilarating mountain climbing scenes don't make up for films numerous defects and ungodly magnitude. Jack Cassidy as gay detective gives the only artistic performing. Cast includes Clint Eastwood, George Kennedy, Vonetta McGee, Jack Cassidy, Thayer David, Heidi Bruhl, Reiner Schoene, and Brenda Venus. (128 minutes, 1975)

The Sea Hawk: Top of the line amalgamation with Flynn at his streaking best in venture on the high oceans. The film has a vigorous balance of piracy, romance, and swordplay, handsomely shot, and orchestrated with exciting Erich Wolfgang Komgold score. Cast includes Errol Flynn, Brenda Marshall, Claude Pours, Donald Crisp, Flora Robson, Alan Hale, Henry Daniell, Una O'Connor, Gilbert Roland, and Edgar Buchanan. (127 minutes, 1940)

The Age of Innocence: In 1870s NY, well-bred youthful guy (Day-Lewis), who plans to wed well bred youthful female (Ryder), is infatuated by infamous beauty (Pfeiffer) with a notorious background and a self sufficient soul. Sumptuous adaptation of Edith Wharton's Pulitzer Prize novel in reference to censored sentiments in a close minded world. Cast includes Daniel Day-Lewis, Michelle Pfeiffer, Winona Ryder, Richard E. Grant, Alec McCowen, Geraldine Chaplin, Mary Beth Hurt, Miriam Margolyes, Sian Phillips, Michael Gough, Alexis Smith, Norman Lloyd, Jonathan Pryce, Robert Sean Leonard, and Carolyn Farina depicted by Joanne Woodward. (133 minutes, 1993)

Shack Out on 101: Lee Marvin is a cook named Slob at a seaside greasy spoon in this cold war classic. The waitress (Terry Moore) seems to be spending most of her time fending off the lecherous advances of almost all her co-stars, but in fact she is trying to stop nuclear secrets from leaving the country. This is positively a one of a kind film, with most of the action taking place on a lone shabby set. Cast includes Terry Moore, Frank Lovejoy, Lee Marvin, Keenan Wynn, and Whit Bissell. (90 minutes, 1955)

Daniel: A phenomenal adaptation of E. L. Doctorow's The Novel of Daniel, about Julius and Ethel Rosenberg who encounter discrimination due to their heritage in order learn to handle their own lives in the difficult 1960s. Not without its imperfections, however overall a seductive and incredibly well-made film. Cast includes Timothy Hullon, Mandy Patinkin, Lindsay Crouse, Edward Asner, Ellen Barkin, Julie Bovasso, Tovah Feldshuh, Joseph Leon, Amanda Plummer, and John Rubinstein. (130 minutes, 1983)

Down to You: Prinze and Stiles futilely try to buddy us up by talking straight away into the camcorder, clarifying how their once idyllic college romance went bust (albeit not as bust as the film). In some way, this film manages to find room for subplots in reference to a Television show and a friend who has a try as an adult-film entrepreneur with a sort of bohemian knowledgeable porn actress. Cast includes Freddie Prinze, Jr., Julia Stiles, Shawn Hatosy, Selma Blair, Zak Orth, Ashton Kutcher, Rosario Dawson, Henry Winkler, and Lucie Amaz. (91 minutes, 2000)

Air Force 1: This movie is a supercharged thriller in regards to aggressive Kazakhstani alarmists taking over Delta one and keeping the President, his family, and his entourage prisoner in midair. This film is an extreme, brutal, nail biting popcorn fodder movie, anchored by Ford as a 2 fisted president who's not scared to get physical. Cast includes Harrison Ford, Gary Oldman, Glenn Close, Dean Stockwell, Wendy Crewson, Paul Guilfoyle, William H. Macy, Liesel Matthews, Xander Berkeley, Bill Smitrovich, Elya Baskin, and Jiirgen Prochnow. (124 minutes, 1997)

Red: The last film in Kieslowski's "3 Colors" trilogy which, like Blue and White, might stand alone with its self contained tale. Fashion model Jacob meets upset, retired judge Trintignant accidentally, then creates a relationship with him and enters his cloistered, secret life. Set in Geneva, this is a story of a few entangled lives. Cast includes Irene Jacob, Jean-Louis Trintignant, Frederique Feder, Jean-Pierre Lorit, Juliette Binoche, Julie Delpy, and Benoit Regent. (99 minutes, 1994)

Almost any film you can think of can be downloaded from a site online. To learn more about movie download sites search "Buy Movie Downlaods" or "Download Movies Legal". Another good term might be "Download Movie Rental".

Butcher Block Cutting Boards For All Your Kitchen Cutting Needs

By Arthur Butler

One of the most useful pieces of kitchenware that you can buy is a butchers block. You may want to choose a large butchers block that is like a piece of furniture or you may prefer a smaller one that is more like a thick cutting board.

The best butchers blocks are made of white maple. This is the perfect wood for either a chopping board or a butchers block. The maple is not going to dull the blade of your knife, nor will your knife damage the maple. In fact, the wood is so resilient that most butchers can work their entire lifetime with only one block.

The hardness of maple makes butchers block resistant to bacteria. The meat juices cannot penetrate the wood to form a breeding ground for germs. Just be sure that you keep your butchers block wiped clean.

If you intend to use butchers block for cutting, it should only be treated with oil. Be sure that you only use mineral oil to treat the block. Vegetable based oils will turn rancid and make the block smell bad and give your food a bad taste.

Butchers blocks can be sanitized using a very dilute bleach solution. Keep the solution in a spray bottle for this purpose. Sanitize the board after each use and especially when switching from meats to vegetables. The board needs to be kept clean and dry at all times. You do not want your butchers block chopping board to absorb any of the juices from the meats or vegetables that you are cutting.

Oil finished butchers blocks can be resurfaced by sanding. This should not be necessary until after several years of use. Most butchers blocks are thick enough that the small amount of thickness lost to sanding does not affect their use. After progressing to fine grain sandpaper, wipe away all the dust and re-oil the surface of the block. A buchers block should last a lifetime.

Natural Remedy for Toe Nail Fungus Tips

By Rashel Dan

Do you want a natural remedy for toe nail fungus? If you are one among the many who have toe nail fungus, you could be on the look out for an effective solution. Of course, there are effective artificial solutions but a lot of people would like to opt for a chemical free and side effect free solution that can only be provided by natural remedies.

Unfortunately, there are so many natural remedies to consider. Looking for one that can work well for you can be very challenging on its own. Once you do find a good solution, the greater challenge is to learn how to use it properly. Here are some tips in looking for natural remedies and using them to your advantage.

Trying Home Remedies - You may choose to try a home remedy first. There are numerous remedies posted regularly online. There are some users who are willing to swear by the effectiveness of many of these home made solutions. The usual problem with home remedies however is the lack of standard mixtures and instructions for application. What may work for some may not work for you. It is possible that you could end up with a useless solution. Your condition could worsen if you delay other more effective applications.

Natural Products - Natural products are an alternative to home remedies. You at least have the assurance of reputable manufacturers that their product ingredients have been carefully studied and mixed to arrive at a reliable remedy. Do remember though that not all products have the same quality. You need to be able to buy the best and most reputable natural remedy for toe nail fungus.

Product Reviews - Checking the effectiveness of a product isn't so hard. After all, there are hundreds of other individuals who have also had toe nail fungus. Many of these individuals will only be more than willing to help a fellow sufferer find the right treatment. Before you buy a product, you should therefore check what real consumers have to say. You can quickly find consumer input in review and rating sites or in forums.

Proper Use - Give a product a chance to work. Many people start out with a product already skeptical. They may use a couple of applications and then immediately conclude that a product is useless. The key with natural products is to always use them as their packages indicate. You should therefore use a topical application as often as you are instructed and in the right amounts. Toe nail fungus solutions also do not work miracles. It may take months before a solution works out.

Early Treatment - Natural remedies are best used early. A fungal infection at an advanced stage may no longer be treated by topical applications. A product however, that has been applied early can prevent the further spread of a fungal condition.

More Than Treatment - Don't work against your solution. As much as possible, avoid promoting the retention of moisture in your nails. This would mean staying away from closed shoes, false nails and even nail polish.

The Significance Of Your Body Shape

By Jason Longworth

Body shape is an extremely important determinant of physical and mental health. Doctors, these days, suggest that when talking about your health, waist measurement is crucial.

Mental stress is comparatively simpler to understand because everyone, at some time in their lives, has gone through the phase, where they had to suffer from an inferiority complex. Aftershave and underwear advertisements make men, in general, feel dwarfed, and in the same way, typical models in advertisements have their impact on women in general. Hence, both the genders feel the need to get better and enhance their looks in one way or the other.

Advertisements and concerns displayed by the media are the main reasons for most of the mental anxiety that is caused to the public in general. Those who are already suffering from a complex find it traumatic since the average person is not considered as attractive as professional models in fashion shows or advertisements; they have very hard-to-achieve body shapes.

However, physical fitness can also be gauged according to your body shape. Most people tend to rely on their Body Mass Index to help them decide if they are overweight or under weight. But, the Body Mass Index only shows you the overall weight that you should ideally have; it does not specify the amount of fat each organ can take. Fat accumulates under our skin and around our organs; however, the type stored around our organs is more dangerous than fat that is stored in our arms or thighs, for example.

Since prehistoric times, waist measurement was constantly a major factor that classified people as attractive. To accurately measure your waist line, feel for your hip bone, and go upwards till you can feel you bottom rib. Halfway between these two is your waist. For women, the ideal waist size is less than 32inches, higher than 35 inches is risky, and you should try exercises to reduce this fat. For men, the ideal waist size is less than 37 inches, higher than 40 inches is risky.

The basic body shapes are pear, apple, hour glass, and banana. If your lower body weighs more as compared to your upper body, then you are pear shaped. If you weigh more around your chest compared to your hips then you are labelled as being apple shaped. If your chest and hips weigh almost the same size, you come in the hourglass category. While if your waist measurement is less than 9 inches of your hip measurement, then you fall in the banana category.

It is crucial to figure out where excess fat is being stored in our body, and work to decrease this fat. The people under the impression that they do not need to initiate exercising since they have never done it before, should comprehend the fact that any extra fat reduces the duration of their lives. Excess fat around any body organ is dangerous; hence, numerous simple exercises that focus on specific body parts should be availed.
