Make Your Next Vacation A Cruise Vacation

By Matthew Shaulis

Cruises are gaining in popularity as vacation destinations unto themselves because they are all inclusive. Cruise ships visit such exciting ports of call that you will know you are on the vacation of a lifetime when you take a cruise.

Cruise ships make traveling more fun because you do not have to worry about how far you must drive to reach your destination. Cruise ships have so many entertaining activities while at sea...no one could get bored. The exciting ports of call will leave you yearning to explore even more exciting destinations. Every country has exciting ports of call that you can visit on a cruise vacation.

Every cruise line is different and has different exciting ports of call and exotic cruise destinations. Picking just one cruise line to travel on will be difficult, but well worth it, and you can always try several of the cruise lines to find the very best one for your specific needs.

Carnival cruises are very busy and carry a lot of passengers. With so many passengers your children will never be bored, and this could give you some alone time, but probably not the best choice for a romantic getaway.

Carnival cruises service all of the legendary cruising ports of call including, but not limited to, Alaskan cruises, Caribbean cruises, Mediterranean cruises, and Mexican Riviera cruises.

Princess cruises carry less passengers and make for a more relaxed cruise. Princess cruises are still very family friendly, but certain ships may be more well suited to a romantic getaway than a family cruise. Picking the perfect cruise ship and cruise line for your upcoming vacation cruise will be essential to having the vacation cruise you have always dreamed of for you and your family.

Smaller cruise ships offer a more intimate feeling while at sea. A smaller cruise ship may be perfect for a romantic getaway, but not so great for a family cruise because many of the smaller ships will not have a teen and youth center. The drawback of taking a smaller cruise ship is the price, often the same amount of time spent at sea on a smaller ship will cost twice as much as a larger ship. This is mostly due to fuel prices and the fact that the cruise lines will completely cater to you on these smaller ships making it a much more intimate cruise.

When planning your dream vacation cruise, make sure that you investigate all of the cruise lines thoroughly, as well as the ports of call you wish to visit. Each port of call will have a cruise line offered tour of the port as well as a tour guide. These tours can be nominally priced, or quite profound, so do your research and find out their cost, as well as the cost of creating your own tour of these ports of call. It is not always a necessity to purchase a tour since some of the ports will be quite small, for instance Whittier,Alaska is a very small town and you could most likely schedule your own fun for this kind of town with no worries of getting lost or missing anything dramatic. This could also save you hundreds of dollars, so be sure to do your homework well in advance in order to have the very best vacation cruise ever.
